Rabat – A total of 3.2 kg of cocaine was removed from the stomach of four foreigners at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Centre in Casablanca, said on Wednesday the national police (DGSN).
Policemen at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca had arrested, on Nov. 30, four people from Brazil, Venezuela and Nigeria suspected of carrying cocaine in their stomach, the police recalled in a statement.
The suspects were placed under medical surveillance at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Centre to remove around 314 cocaine pills from their stomach, it said.
After their health condition stabilized, the accused were remanded in police custody to complete the investigation led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
